Kolbastı, also called Faroz Kesmesi or Hoptek, is a Turkish solo or group dance.

Kolbastı is mainly danced in the cities of Trabzon and the county of Akçaabat. In the past few years this dance has grown very popular and is spreading in popularity outside the region. These days this dance is mostly used for weddings or by youngsters who like to show off their energetic moves and attract girls or boys.
Kolbastı was originally created in the 1930s in the seaport of Trabzon on the Black Sea coast of north-eastern Turkey. According to a popular origin legend, the dance originated in the 1930s when auxiliary troops of the Turkish police, known as Kolluk Kuvvetleri, stormed festivals. The name of the dance originates from the abbreviation of the warning call Kolluk kuvvetleri bastı! which roughly means The police are coming! or Police raid! The word bastı is derived from the verb basmak, which means "to rush" or "to push".
